Despite the tough South Australian market LJ Hooker has opened another office in Adelaide, bringing the franchise group to a total of 690 offices across Australia and New Zealand.
Already well-established identities in the South Australian property scene, the new principals at LJ Hooker Mile End - Justin Peters, who worked as an agent for LJ Hooker West Lakes, and Loretta Cavallaro, coming from LJ Hooker St Peters, have now joined forces to open a revamped office on the city fringe.
The new office opening comes not long after Raine & Horne SA chief executive, Kevin Magee, claimed one in 10 real estate businesses in South Australia ceased operations in 2011, and more could close their doors as principals near retirement age and agencies underperform.
“Last year we saw a lot of doors close - mostly it was offices that were offering discounted services,” Ms Cavallaro told Real Estate Business.
“It doesn’t deter us at all, in fact it makes room for us to come through with our energetic youthful culture, in an industry that has become tiresome,” she said.
“Last year myself and Justin recorded our best results as sales agents to date, because you have to work harder to get results.”
Mr Peters and Ms Cavallaro have won multiple national and state awards through the Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) and LJ Hooker,
They are both positioned in the top seven per cent of agents in the LJ Hooker Network.
The new LJ Hooker Mile End office offers the full range of real estate services, from sales to auction campaigns and property management.
