Raine & Horne Double Bay won key categories at the group’s recent national awards, securing the Top Office (Dollar Value) and Top Office (Number of Sales) categories.

The awards, held at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne earlier this week, attracted around 400 guests from Raine & Horne’s national and international network.

The Double Bay (Sydney) firm employs approximately 80 sales agents and property managers, including Ric Serrao, who was ranked third in Real Estate Business' Top 100 Agents list.

The office, which has Mr Serrao, Martin Maskin, Barry Goldman and Mark Goldman as its principals, expanded its reach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs with the acquisition of Raine & Horne Bondi Beach in March this year. Former Double Bay principal Michael Pallier, the winner of the Top Salesperson (Dollar Value) award, recently took up the franchise for Sotherby's first Australian real estate office.

The firm had to contend with strong competition from category newcomers Raine & Horne Gladstone in the Top Office (Number of Sales) division, and Raine & Horne Darwin in the Top Office (Dollar Value) criteria.

Richard Steele, a sales agent with Raine & Horne Gladstone, nabbed the Top Salesperson (Number of Sales) prize from more fancied rivals in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane, while Raine & Horne Darwin’s Lenny Holt grabbed fourth place in the category.

In what the company described as another upset, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North grabbed the award for Top Commercial Office (Dollar Value) from 2011’s REIA commercial office of the year, Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra.

“Our leading offices use auctions extensively to deliver the best results for owners, they usually have two to four principals, and employ at least 20 property professionals,” Angus Raine, CEO at Raine & Horne, said.

“They also have significant rent rolls and all team members consistently attend training.

“Likewise, our gold medal winning principals are team leaders, mentors and coaches, who soak up as much training as possible and who urge their teams to greater heights.”
