Domain bolsters audience with Telstra deal

Properties listed on Domain.com.au are set to be viewed by up to an extra five and a half million viewers a month, following a deal the Fairfax Media-owned portal signed with Telstra.

Domain.com.au and Telstra Media have announced a joint online partnership that will develop a co-branded version of the Domain.com.au website through Telstra BigPond.

The new website will feature Domain property listings as well as providing real estate content for other areas of the BigPond website.

According to Domain, the Telstra BigPond website currently averages more than 5,500,000 unique audience visitors monthly.

The site will be launched in late-September and will be in place for two years.

“We are very excited to announce the partnership between Domain and Telstra Media,” said Matt Siddons, marketing director, real estate, for Fairfax Marketplaces.

“The strength and audience reach of Telstra BigPond will bring even greater value to agents and their clients, which is in addition to the web and print offerings and the award-winning range of apps for mobile devices, as part of the multi-platform range of marketing tools from Domain.”

Adam Good, director of Digital Media and Content at Telstra Media, said the arrangment will benefit both companies.

“We came to Domain because of the quality of its content and extensive property listings, and the new website will be of great benefit to Telstra BigPond customers,” he said.
