Richardson & Wrench hosted a packed National Awards in Sydney last weekend attracting more than 300 members to the sell-out event.

R&W executive director Andrew Cocks said that for the first time in many years, the Awards night had been over-subscribed.

“This is a great reflection on the enthusiasm that is now being displayed for R&W events from across the group,” said Mr Cocks.

“Following the work on rebuilding the platform, 2012 has been an exciting year for Richardson & Wrench. We have focused on delivering new services to the group and put a lot of effort into recruitment with the results that we are now getting more inquiries for new franchises in a month than we used to get for an entire year.”

Mr Cocks said the many new faces amongst the award winners highlighted the effort being put in across the network to continually innovate and improve performance.

The major award winner on the night was Jason Boon, of R&W Elizabeth Bay/Potts Point, who won Most Outstanding Selling Principal, NSW and National for the seventh year running, along with the Ronald H Pillinger Award for the sixth time.

R&W Elizabeth Bay/Potts Point consolidated the win by also being named Most Outstanding Office (Revenue) while the Campbelltown/Ingleburn office, which this year added a third office in Narellan, won Most Outstanding Office for the number of transactions.

The inaugural Directors Award, to acknowledge a person within the network who exemplifies the beliefs and values of Richardson & Wrench, conducting themselves in an exemplary manner, was won by R&W Marrickville/Hurlstone Park Principal Aris Dendrinos.

“This new award is akin to the R&W Best and Fairest combined with the Team Player award,” said Mr Cocks. “When we looked at all of the potential winners we realised what a difficult task we had set ourselves with so many worthy recipients around our group. However, as our inaugural winner, we believe that Aris Dendrinos exemplifies the criteria we have set for this award.”

Rookie of the Year was Luke Burgess from R&W Seaforth/Balgowlah.
