Professionals Real Estate Group, a cooperative network of around 300 offices, has attracted a former franchise-based agency in the south east Queensland town of Mount Tamborine to join its ranks.

The latest new office is a four year old agency, run by principal Emma Hawker and her executive partner, Paul Graham.

“We have known about the Professionals group for years and when we decided to look around at other networks, the Professionals was among the first groups we contacted,’’ said Mr Graham.

Mr Graham said there were seven agencies operating on Mount Tamborine, which is a hotspot for day-trippers from the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

“It’s very much a niche market for the type of person who want to live here for the lifestyle,’’ said Mr Graham.

“As a result, while much of the south east Queensland property market has suffered a bit in recent times, we have been insulated from that.”

Only last week, Professionals Real Estate Group chief executive Glyn Morgan said the property market was showing signs of life along Australia's east coast.

“I am conservative by nature but all the evidence is pointing in the one direction and that is the property market along the east coast of Australia is starting to move again,’’ he said.

“Auction clearance rates have improved, RP Data has reported price growth in Sydney and Melbourne, API is reporting that Brisbane and Sydney prices are rebounding and Herron Todd White says property prices on the east coast market are set to rise.

“This is exactly what our members, who work at the coal face, are mostly all saying."

He added that Ms Hawker and her team would be warmly welcomed into the Professionals Real Estate Group “family”.

Mr Morgan claimed the Professionals’ membership model “meant its members felt a greater sense of belonging to the group, were more willing to share information and resources with other agencies, and gave the brand a substantial advantage over most of its rivals”.

“Franchisees in Australia are always looking for better options than the standard model and our fixed-fee model, which is focused on providing real value for money, is very attractive because it provides for more upside,’’ he continued.

Professionals Real Estate Group said it has more than 300 offices throughout Australia, New Zealand, United States and a number of Asia-Pacific countries.
