Homebuyers will get the chance to ask a western Sydney vendor about their home via a new live online chat initiative.

The new innovation will be used by Elders Toongabbie, which has set up an interactive page for a local house where the vendors can blog and chat anonymously with possible purchasers.

“For the sale of 19a Bulli Rd Toongabbie, we’ve created a page on Housenet called ‘Toongabbie House’,” Jhai Mitchell, Elders Toongabbie’s social media marketer, said.

“We’re conducting a series of live chat events at set times with the vendor, who will sit anonymously behind the page.

“So in effect, the Toongabbie House will ‘talk’ online with potential buyers. It’s a great opportunity for the public and potential buyers to connect with the owner, and get a better insight into what makes the property so special.”

Housenet CEO Darren Moffatt said the initiative was an example of the power of social media when it comes to selling houses.

“Over the last few years, social media has played an increasing role in property sales, but it’s been very fragmented and difficult to manage for agents, and has delivered mixed results for vendors,” he said.

“Housenet solves this with an integrated platform of blogs, property pages, listings, and online chat. It harnesses the power of social media for real estate sales, in one central location.

‘It’s an unbeatable way for homeowners to communicate the emotional pull of their property.”

More information about the property, which is due to go to auction on November 3, can be found by clicking here.
