A major group has enlisted the help of an auctioneering expert to try and encourage its principals to sell under the hammer.

Will Hampson of My Auctioneer told Real Estate Business that his new partnership with CENTURY 21 includes overseeing and building the group's auction culture, along with conducting auctions in NSW and other events Australia wide.

“We will also be conducting a number of training events throughout the calendar year, as well as attending the CENTURY 21 events and awards," Mr Hampson said.

“The initial core focus will be growth in New South Wales."

“Victoria, or Melbourne specifically, is recognised as the auction capital of Australia. Getting agents in the Sydney marketplace to conduct more auctions is a big issue for the group.”

The new relationship will benefit principals who are looking to implement auctions, but don’t know where to begin, he added.

“CENTURY 21 is an innovative brand; they’re market leaders in social media and one of the first groups to fully embrace new technology.

“We will be providing 24/7 customer support for principals when it comes to auction advice. They can get information on compliance or how they can get auctions up and running in their office.

“We can give them the necessary requirements to run successful auction campaigns."

Chairman and owner of CENTURY 21 Australasia, Charles Tarbey, said the new arrangement should greatly assist his network.

“We believe that My Auctioneer will be a great asset to the CENTURY 21 network, providing agents with a dedicated and specialised auction services resource that will enable them to diversify their service offerings, transact more property and ultimately grow their businesses.”
