'Get back to basics but embrace the new' was the core message of the Professionals Sales Conference held on the Gold Coast last week.

Themed ‘List, Sell and Excel’, the annual conference brought together 140 salespeople from eastern Australia for three days to hear from inspirational speakers and CEO Glyn Morgan.

Mr Morgan told Real Estate Business that it was fantastic to have people with such a positive attitude all trying to share and learn.

“We had some really quality speakers with such good messages for them from a real estate point of view but also a life point of view,” he said.

Speakers included award-winning real estate agent Mat Steinwede, head of residential sales at realestate.com.au Steve Carroll, and author of 100 Things Sebastian Terry.

The conference was focused on getting back to the basics of real estate and enhancing them by integrating modern techniques such as social media.

“There’s no doubt that the whole online space is real, alive and kicking and really we are trying to take it from just an office running something around all things digital and online to an individual doing it," he said.

Attendees were also encouraged to develop good habits, such as doing things continually, with focus and consistently, and aiming for self-improvement by setting goals and achieving them.
