PRDnationwide Newcastle's founding director has joined the network’s corporate team as business development manager.

PRDnationwide's managing director Tony Brasier said the international real estate franchise was delighted to welcome Allan Kentwell to his new position.

“Allan and [his son] Mark built the business to its current position as an award-winning office with a multi-million dollar turnover, and we approached Allan with the intention of drawing on his professional experience within our franchise network to bring other potentially successful offices on board,” he said.

Last February, Mr Kentwell sold his shares of the Newcastle office to his son, who is the current director, to join the Neil Jens PRDnationwide operation in Victoria as chief operating officer.

“I moved back to Newcastle to accept the business development officer position, and intend to initially expand the franchise network around the Newcastle and Hunter region, building on the success and profile of the business that Mark and I built from the ground,” Mr Kentwell said.

In his new position, Mr Kentwell will act as the single point of contact for organisations that are undergoing multi-locational portfolio sales, including distressed sales for banks and receivers.

He will also be the link between PRDnationwide and its parent company, Colliers International, for diversified portfolio tasks.

“It is apparent that both brands have important synergies, and therefore I will be focussing on using these to maximise the group’s capabilities,” he said.
