Fashion doll Barbie will visit Australia as part of her worldwide tour to find her new dream house. The Mattel-owned doll has partnered with LJ Hooker and Biggin&Scott to scout for potential locations, drawing attention - and a bit of fun - to the prestige property market.

“Now is the perfect time to take advantage of prestige property listings around Sydney’s blue ribbon harbourside locations with realistic prices and a shortage of qualified buyers,” said an LJ Hooker spokesperson.

“It’s not surprising savvy entrepreneurs like Barbie have also realised how exceptional the top end real estate residential market is at the moment. We have heard she has her eye on several estates we are marketing in Sydney’s famed Eastern and Northern enclaves, right up to Port Douglas.

“The prestige property market is heating up, particularly in Sydney, and there are exceptional homes for sale at prices not seen for many years in elite areas such as the palatial peninsular of Point Piper and the elite’s preferred beachfront playground – Palm Beach.”

According to Forbes, the blonde bombshell recently sold her famous Malibu beachfront home for an estimated US$25 million as part of a marketing campaign by manufacturer Mattel, which willl culminate in the unveilling of a brand new dollhouse.
