One property group claims its staff salaries are 15 per cent above the average salary benchmarks released by recruitment agency Gough Recruitment.

Crawford Property Group (CPG) CEO Ryan Crawford said its ability to attract and retain the best staff in the business has helped it facilitate and sustain its rapid growth.

“According to Gough [Recruitment], the current rate for a property manager with three to five years' experience is between $60,000 and $70,000 – ours is $80,000 to $90,000,” he said.

“We’re also significantly above the base rate for business development managers, with the industry average being $30,000 to $60,000 and CPG’s between $75,000 and $85,000.”

Mr Crawford said the company had worked hard since its establishment in 2008 to create a strong culture and a sense of pride and belonging in the workplace.

“We offer attractive packages and workplaces, and a fantastic culture which extends to our offices throughout the Pilbara, Derby, Perth and now Brisbane area,” he said.

The group, who are a finalist in the Australian Real Estate Awards, has undergone significant growth over the past 12 months, having expanded nationally and regionally. The group has recently opened new offices in Brisbane and Derby, and increased its team from 50 to over 70 staff.

CPG generated $6.7 million in revenue in the 2011/2012 financial year, which was a 56 per cent increase on the previous year. The group recently landed a place BRW’s Fast Starters list for being the fastest growing real estate company in Australia.
