The international award was announced by LJ Hooker CEO Georg Chmiel on Saturday night at the Night of the Stars international awards.

The Northern Beaches’ offices are comprised of Avalon, Balgowlah, Collaroy, Dee Why, Frenchs Forest, Freshwater, Manly, Mona Vale, Narrabeen, Newport, Palm Beach and Seaforth.

The CEO Best Cell award recognises offices for being consistent and effective brand ambassadors, achieving improvements in market share, using LJ Hooker Institute training, market product, media activity, PR and generating lead referrals through LJ Hooker Home Loans. Auction marketing, franchise harmony and cell cohesiveness were also considered in the award decision, made by Mr Chmiel.

“The Northern Beaches cell has achieved the greatest average for all the key criteria considered for this award, so this is a very big honour indeed,” Mr Chmiel said.

“I’m delighted to say every franchise owner and team member worked hard to achieve this hotly contested award, which they truly deserve, making them this year’s cell winners not only in NSW or Australia but throughout the entire international LJ Hooker network.”

LJ Hooker Admiral, franchise council member and principal of the Seaforth office John Davis said, “This award is recognition of a long-term effort to build the strength of the brand and therefore our cell on the northern beaches - it’s that simple.

“It has been a long-term plan, 10-plus years, but we never expected to win this international award, as we know the strength of other cells in the LJ Hooker network - not just here in Sydney but across NSW and the network in general.”

Mr Davis said to win the award as Best Cell across the entire international LJ Hooker network was "a huge shock but a welcome one”.
