A major network will this week release the first online property information portal for real estate consumers.

On September 1, Raine&Horne will launch Investrac, a property portal that will offer free real-time market data allowing consumers to monitor the value of properties across Australia.

“Aussies have a passion for property but times have changed and along with the adage ‘location, location, location’, consumers must also consider a new mantra – ‘timing, timing, timing’,” said CEO Angus Raine.

“In our fast-moving world, knowledge is power and time is money, which is why Raine&Horne is proud to offer Investrac to our homeowners, buyers and investors.”

While Investrac will be available to anyone in the public, users will need to register with Raine&Horne to utilise it. They will also be able to access the system via LinkedIn, Facebook or Google+.

The portal offers a place for customers to monitor property information such as historical market statistics that date back 15 years, and to track real-time property data provided by Price Finder.

Consumers will be able to see the number of sales in a suburb or town, the average sales price, median prices, recent sales and current stock on market.

“Ultimately, we want our customers to make informed buying, selling or investment decisions, and Investrac, along with the advice of a Raine&Horne agent, can make a significant difference to the financial outcome of a property transaction,” said Mr Raine.

Raine&Horne operations manager for NSW, QLD, ACT and WA Sean Green told Real Estate Business Investrac was not a way for the network to push its properties onto clients.

“This is just a service to allow them to access information they’ve been crying out to have access to for a long period of time,” he said.

“We have really focused on the end user to utilise the system efficiently and as quickly as possible to get the relevant information.”

He said Investrac was different to major portals realestate.com.au and Domain, as users could set a criteria of data they wanted.

“You’re seeing data that’s not just generic data that sites like realestate.com.au and Domain show in their sold section," he said.

“It’s actually data about specific properties you’re after, and users will be able to see all market sales and not just Raine&Horne’s.”
