The major network’s South Australian division has been recognised for its charitable and community contributions.

Elders Real Estate recently took out the Real Estate Institute of South Australia’s Award for Excellence in the community category for its contribution to Little Heroes Foundation.

SA/NT real estate manager at Elders Sean Connors said, “We’ve sponsored Little Heroes Foundation through giving a donation from every sale made by our agents throughout the year, and we’ve raised over $150,000 in the last couple of years.

“We chose it because obviously it’s a local South Australian charity and it helps kids with serious illnesses. So the two things put together just made it a perfect thing, and it fits in with the Elders values.”

Other initiatives the group has undertaken to raise money for Little Heroes Foundation include a three-kilometre walk in the annual Sunday Mail City-Bay Fun Run in the 'Spike the Dog' suit and fundraising at all their major events such as their annual awards.

In the last 12 months alone, the franchise group contributed in excess of $85,000.

Little Heroes Foundation said the community service award was a well deserved recognition of the time, effort and funds the group had contributed over the last two years.

“Little Heroes Foundation is extremely grateful that Elders Real Estate SA has committed to this partnership for a further two years,” the charity said.
