Friday funnies: Caught in the act

By Staff Reporter
20 December 2013 | 10 minute read

Every Friday, we will feature a story from an agent on the ground. This week’s story comes from Danny O'Brien from CENTURY 21 McCann Alliance (Patterson Lakes).

This story is absolutely true and caused my buyers and myself to uncontrollably break down in fits of laughter - tears were streaming from our eyes.

Back in 2005, I was showing a young couple six properties for sale. One of the properties was tenanted at the time, so I informed the tenants of an approximate time I would be arriving.

Well, we flew through them pretty quick and got to the sixth one well before I said I would be there.

The tenant said he would be out of the unit by the time I arrived, so I knocked first and waited about 15 seconds then used the key and entered to see a naked man (the tenant) wrapping a towel around himself. He had run out of the bedroom and we could all tell he was clearly on the job.

He tied his towel and faced us (red faced) and said to us, “I wasn’t expecting you to arrive so early”, Within 2 seconds of him finishing that sentence, a second voice came yelling from the bedroom, “I wasn’t expecting you to arrive so early either darl.”
