A top sales agent has been tasked with spreading a major network's influence and brand across the Queensland border.

Raine&Horne has given the role of business support and development manager for Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast to one of its top agents, Tina Ashton.

“Raine&Horne has a very powerful brand presence in NSW,” Ms Ashton told Real Estate Business.

“And my role is to bring this strong branding and influence across the border into Queensland.”

Raine&Horne only has four offices in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, an area that executive chairman and CEO Angus Raine said would be targeted over the next few years.

“We have identified the corridor between the Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast as a major population growth hub as a consequence of the improvements to road infrastructure between Sydney and Brisbane,” said Mr Raine.

“We will be targeting some of the major population centres in the corridor such as Grafton, Lismore and Ballina, while we can also service the smaller satellite towns in the region with a number of strategically placed offices.”

Despite coming from a sales background, Ms Ashton claims she is prepared to take on the next challenge in her career.

“I was in a business support and development capacity focused on building Raine&Horne's property management business on the Central Coast,” Ms Ashton said.

She was also a licensee-in-charge of a major franchise office for six years prior to joining Raine&Horne.

“We have great systems, with Raine&Horne’s groundbreaking contact management system, RHcompass, a standout, as well as talented staff, which make working with the brand very enjoyable," she said.

“As a sales agent, Raine&Horne’s impressive systems and technology always gave me confidence when I went out to chase listings or property managements, and with this experience, I believe I am well placed to talk about the Raine&Horne value proposition when meeting with potential recruits to the brand.”

While not giving a definite figure, Ms Ashton said she is aiming to grow the number of offices in the region "significantly".
