Harcourts NSW revealed a huge 75 per cent growth in settled sales over the past 12 months at their annual awards this past weekend.

And while volume has certainly increased, according to state CEO Rob Forde, average commission for sales agents was up 34 per cent.

“The reason we have had such growth is that we are committed to delivering exceptional results for our clients,” he said on Saturday night.

“As a group, we have excelled in delivering a standard superior to our competitors in the markets in which we operate. This year we have embraced the in-room auction process, we have introduced new mobile technologies, and everything we do is aimed at delivering exceptional service.”

Despite all the advancements in technology, Mr Forde made it clear the results come from hard-working individuals.

“We must be conscious of that fact nothing can substitute a real connection that we have with people – we can’t let social media make us believe that an email or a ‘like’ or being ‘friends’ is a substitute for speaking with people or meeting with them face to face," he said.

“We have a number of marketplaces in which we are talking to some great operators, and I know 2014 will be a year that really defines this organisation in NSW.”

Andrew Chrysanthou from Harcourts Unlimited took out the number one sales consultant at the annual awards gala, held at The Westin hotel in Sydney.
