With over 150 individuals and 95 companies making the finalists list for Australian real estate's most prestigious awards, the COO of Domain, Tony Blamey, told Real Estate Business that the accolades handed out on the night are of “incredible importance” to the nominees.

“I’ve been talking to nominees and they’ve mentioned how important being up for an award is for their brand,” said Mr Blamey.

"To have their brand recoginsed for excellence, innovation or thought leadership is crucial in building that brand, which when it comes down to it, is the most important asset within their business.”

Mr Blamey also paid tribute to the calibre of both the nominees and the judging panel.

“It’s a very strong judging panel including people with a diversity of background and from small and large business experience. It gives great integrity to the process,” he said, adding that the list of nominees was "exceptional".
