The 2014 Real Estate Business Awards have once again proven a hit with agents, with the event approaching sell-out capacity with six weeks left.

According to Matt Siddons, marketing director at principal partner Domain Group, 70 per cent of seats have sold out for the event.

“[It's an] incredible achievement at this stage, and further reflects the importance that the industry puts on raising standards and celebrating high performance," he said.

“We need opportunities to recognise high performance, acknowledge the up and comers of the industry and throw as much light on the reasons why they’re so successful.

“We’re delighted to be the principal sponsor once again, the fit with our Insights to Success platform is obvious, and another opportunity to show some support for the industry.”

In just its second year, Mr Siddons was amazed by the level of submissions received from agents nationally.

“It’s an incredible achievement that these awards have been established as, frankly, the preeminent awards nationally, in such a short amount of time.”

Australian Property Monitors (APM) Pricefinder has also thrown their support behind the initiative as platinum sponsors.

“Real Estate professionals have been the cornerstone of our business for over a decade,” marketing manager at APM Pricefinder Julie Finlayson said.

“We know how hard these businesses have worked over that period and think these awards are a great way for us to express our admiration of their success and tenacity. So, in some small way, this is our opportunity to give back and show our support to the people and the industry that have always backed and supported us from the beginning.”

With APM and PriceFinder joining in January, Ms Finlayson also said it was an opportunity to show the industry what the new company is capable of.

“We have mandates to make this merger a 1+1=3 result for our customers with greater media presence, more education events and even faster innovation in our products and information," she said.

“Our first priority was to create an awesome team of people across Australia and to combine our two sets of data into one massive source of property information. This has been done.

“We now look towards releasing amazing new features for our clients to look their best - with incredible looking reports - and to uncover and analyse more about their markets than ever before.”
