PRDnationwide has announced a deal with a North American franchise group in a move that will bring together 5,000 real estate professionals and 850 franchise offices in eight countries.

Tony Brasier, managing director and chairman at PRDnationwide, confirmed the network has inked a partnership agreement with United Real Estate Group, which he said will see "the two groups combine their significant influence and resources".

Operating under the United PRD International sub brand, the newly formed alliance is expected to be highly active on the global residential property landscape, with the first order of business to be an expansion of its coverage in the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

PRDnationwide will continue its traditional brand name in Australia.

"The need to have international representation in the major residential markets of the world is of growing importance and is something our clients are increasingly demanding,” said Mr Brasier.

“One of the significant benefits of the alliance is the sharing of best practice between the two groups,” he added.

He said both organisations have various strengths in technology, property research, marketing and training that they can share with one another.

United Real Estate Group’s CEO, Dan Duffy, shared the enthusiasm of his Australian counterpart, determining that after three years of strengthening ties between the two companies, the time was right to pool their talent and resources.
