Perth property group Realmark has been recognised at the recent Australian Business Awards for its work helping women to succeed in the real estate industry.

Called Women in Leadership, the program is part of a wider initiative known as Successful Women in Business, established by Realmark executive director Anita Percudani.

The Women in Leadership program is designed to empower Realmark staff to become industry leaders.

The program, which captured the Australian Business Award for Human Resource Management, provides an avenue for senior Realmark women to mentor and guide less experienced women, while also offering networking opportunities and access to motivational speakers.

“The opportunity to empower women to become industry leaders has been a collective focus of Realmark for over two decades and something we’re extremely proud of,” Mrs Percudani said.

“As a business, we recognised the need to do more than simply be aware and accommodating of women, and it was a passion of mine to nurture their ideas and encourage them to grow in a professional capacity.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to the see this program helping to shape the next generation of female leaders at Realmark and equally humbling to be recognised with an Australian Business Award.”

The accolade was one of two won by Realmark at the recent Australian Business Awards.

The company also won the best Marketing Excellence category for its online strategy that included a new website and social media channels.
