Victoria-based property firm Harcourts claims a strong third quarter result has been driven by a network expansion, its training academy and a strong local market.

Sales for the quarter ending September were up, with written sales increasing 13 per cent and settled sales up 12 per cent when compared to the same period last year.

Harcourts opened 10 new offices throughout Victoria this year, taking their total number of offices to 81.

Chief executive officer Sadhana Smiles was quick to congratulate the sales team for the results.

“As a business we believe it is all about people, both our clientele and our staff, which we demonstrate through providing comprehensive training and building meaningful and memorable relationships with our clients,” Ms Smiles said.

“We are thrilled with our Q3 and overall year-to-date growth, which is a result of our network expansion, unique training academy, the strong skill set of our agents and attention to exceptional client expectations, as well as a consistently performing market.

“Alongside this, our growth strategy, which has been in place for the last few years, is largely responsible for the incredible growth and office expansion we’ve enjoyed this year.”

According to Harcourts, the average commission per sales consultant for Q3 increased by 20 per cent.
