PRDnationwide and Elders have agreed to add their listings to Onthehouse.com.au, giving the portal potential access to more than 500 new offices.

Onthehouse’s client list already includes Ray White, LJ Hooker, First National, Raine & Horne, Laing & Simmons and Starr Partners.

PRDnationwide and Elders have chosen to centralise the uploading of listings to save their offices time, said chief operating officer Andy Antonini.

Mr Antonini told Real Estate Business that the two new signings demonstrate the growing popularity of Onthehouse.

The website’s property profiles attract more than three million views per month and are closing in on two million unique visitors per month, according to company data.

“We expect these latest signings will further amplify our growth as both consumers and agents continue to connect and converse via the site,” Mr Antonini said.

Mr Antonini said the growth is being driven by the portal’s strategy of combining user-friendly insights with extensive data on more than 12.5 million properties.

However, he added that consumers want more than just data – they also want agents to interpret it for them.

“Our research shows that consumers want context and understanding around what the data means, which is why we want to connect them with their local agent,” Mr Antonini said.

“Agents, on the other hand, are hungry for an environment that allows them to connect with potential vendors and investors early in their decision-making cycle to help cut down on competition at appraisal time, and therefore help reduce the negotiations around commissions.”
