Competition between listings portals has become so intense that one group has found a new way to gain an edge – coffee.

Domain Group will operate two branded coffee vans in Sydney and Adelaide for the next few months to deliver free coffee to prospective buyers.

It followed trials in which the Domain vans visited open houses and auctions in New Farm, Brisbane, as well as the Sydney regions of Campbelltown and the eastern suburbs.

Aaron Woolard from Place New Farm said the free coffee had made his job easier.

"The Domain coffee van was great – our auction sold under the hammer for $400,000 above reserve and the coffee van drew in a lot of neighbours and interest,” Mr Woolard said.

Domain chief commercial officer Tony Blamey said the group wanted to find new ways to support agents and their vendors.

"We have had fantastic feedback from agents, vendors and buyers from our initial trials a few months ago and decided to roll this out in Sydney and Adelaide for an extended period,” Mr Blamey said.

Agents who want to take advantage of the coffee vans should contact their Domain account manager.
