Real Estate Business Awards winners announced

Real estate professionals from across Australia have gathered for the industry’s night of nights, with 26 awards presented at a sold-out gala dinner.

Guy Robinson from Robinson Property took home the REB Excellence Award, the premier gong at last night’s Real Estate Business Awards. The Newcastle real estate boss was also named Regional Principal of the Year.

LJ Hooker was crowned Major Network of the Year, retaining the title it won in 2013 and 2014.

Queensland agency Coronis was named Major Independent of the Year, while Sydney business Strathfield Partners was named Boutique Independent of the Year.

Belle Property won the Boutique Network of the Year award for the third consecutive year. The agency’s chief executive, Peter Hanscomb, was also named Industry Thought Leader.

Sydney agency Clarke & Humel Property also celebrated a double win. Cherie Humel-Clarke was named Metropolitan Principal of Year, while Michael Clarke was named Metropolitan Sales Agent of the Year.

Cathy Baker from Gittoes in Gosford was crowned Regional Sales Agent of the Year for the second year in a row.

Brisbane business LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hills was named Metropolitan Sales Office of the Year, while Western Australian agency ACTON Mandurah was named Regional Sales Office of the Year.

NSW group Starr Partners was named Best Innovator for the third consecutive year, while Victorian group Hockingstuart took out the Best Training & Education category.

Sydney agency Phillips Pantzer Donnelley won the Best New Office award, while another Sydney identity, Damien Cooley from Cooley Auctions, was named Auctioneer of the Year.

The Best Sales Campaign award went to Sydney agent Santos Sulfaro, from Richardson & Wrench Leichhardt.

Lucy Dugan from Brisbane agency Watt Realty was named Office Administrator of the Year.

The third annual Real Estate Business Awards was held at The Star in Sydney, with almost 850 real estate professionals in attendance. Domain Group was the event’s principal partner.
