Agents could benefit from new leads after Domain Group gave consumers access to data on every property in Australia.

Domain said the Home Price Guide will provide sellers, buyers and renters with data that has historically been kept in proprietary systems, or been difficult and expensive to obtain.

The app will also give agents a new channel to build up their lead pipelines, according to Domain.

“For real estate agents, building rapport with potential customers before they are ready to buy, sell or rent gives them a foot in the door from very early on,” it said.

“Any property listed on domain.com.au will now gain even more exposure, as the Home Price Guide will reach 3.8 million iOS and Android users and 2.4 million unique visitors to domain.com.au, linking straight back to live listings.”

The Home Price Guide will give estimated values for all 13 million properties in Australia, with on-market properties linked to the current listing.

Consumers will be able to view the full sale and rental history of a property, including more than 50 million historic property images from previous listings.

They will also be told the estimated rental yield and weekly rent for each property.

Domain chief executive Antony Catalano said Home Price Guide will be the next big shift in how Australians research property.

“More than 60 per cent of Domain users are already on a mobile device. Now they can have Home Price Guide’s information on demand, free and at their fingertips in Domain’s apps when they’re out on the go,” he said.
