Queensland’s peak real estate body has launched a major marketing campaign to promote its agents to new buyers and sellers.

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland campaign, which covers television, print, radio and digital, urges consumers to ask their agent, ‘Are you with the REIQ?’

The aim is to showcase REIQ agents as an elite, trustworthy group of professionals who follow a strict code of conduct and who are committed to ongoing professional development.

The campaign’s call to action advises consumers to visit REIQ.com to find an agent, property manager, auctioneer or buyer’s agent.

REIQ chief executive Antonia Mercorella said the campaign would give those who are new to the market a starting point for their property journey.

“For many people who are buying or selling for the first time, it can be a daunting time, and most people are anxious to dot every ‘i’ and cross every ‘t’,” she said.

“An REIQ member agent can make sure nothing gets missed and is someone that you can trust.”

Ms Mercorella said the campaign is part of a new approach from the REIQ, which wants to promote its membership and build awareness of the institute among Queenslanders.
