RateMyAgent has launched a new feature for agents that it says will aid in building the trust, credibility and connections of agents in the eyes of potential vendors.

In announcing the feature launch, dubbed “Agent Recognition”, RateMyAgent said the new tool has been directly developed through community and consumer research and will be built on the site’s recent suite of agent tools.

Agent Recognition will enable agents to showcase specific achievements on their RateMyAgent profile to prospective vendors, showcasing trust, transparency, and exceptional and consistent customer experiences.

According to RateMyAgent, three badges have been developed: the highly recommended badge, the trusted agent badge and the multi-year award winner badge.

CEO Mark Armstrong has acknowledged that “prospective vendors look for trusted, consistent and experienced agents — and are more likely to choose an agent trusted by other vendors”.

He said the use of Agent Recognition badges “illustrates that these agents are here to serve and welcome unbiased feedback from each of their clients”.

“Many within our agent community have worked hard to collect reviews, demonstrate trust and transparency, and win the RateMyAgent Agent of the Year awards, but up until now those achievements have been hidden from the public.”

The new feature will be available to premium users, and builds upon RateMyAgent’s new tool offering that includes Google review manager, automated review requests, sold selfies and video reviews.

According to the platform, an agent needs to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, meaning they have a RateMyAgent score in the top 20 per cent to receive a highly recommended badge.

An agent also needs to have sold at least 10 properties over the last 12 months.

Trusted agent badges will be applicable where an agent has turned on “automated review requests” or manually request reviews from all vendors, which means every vendor is invited to leave a review.

RateMyAgent explained that this demonstrates that the agent embraces transparency and does not filter their requests.

Multi-year award winner badges will be awarded to agents who have won the same RateMyAgent award across multiple years, either nationally or at state, city or suburb level.
