McGrath is looking to boost overall agent numbers, productivity and market share with a strategic new appointment.

The ASX-listed network has appointed Michael Murray to the role of head of company sales, with a focus on agent recruitment and professional development.

Mr Murray first joined McGrath back in 2016 as sales manager for Sydney’s Northern Districts and Hills Region, before taking on the role of acting head of sales in late 2019.

McGrath CEO Eddie Law has expressed his delight at Mr Murray’s acceptance of the strategic appointment, which will see him leading a high-performing sales team across McGrath’s company-owned Queensland and New South Wales offices.

“Mike is well known and respected throughout the real estate industry and we believe that McGrath will benefit significantly from his broad sales and leadership experience,” Mr Law commented.

A statement from the network lauded his successful navigation of the sales team through the COVID-19 pandemic while working in the acting head of sales role.

Mr Law noted that existing agents “will continue to benefit from his depth of industry knowledge, coaching and overall leadership skills”.

He also expressed no doubt that the new head of company sales “will prove to be a significant drawcard in the recruitment of additional top-performing agents and sales teams to our company”.

Mr Murray himself has said he’s excited by the opportunities ahead.

“I’m committed to enhancing and redefining how we service our agents,” Mr Murray said.

“Our business structure has developed more high-performing agents than any other brand due to the support the company provides and its unique business within a business model.”

With growth of McGrath’s company-owned offices at the forefront of Mr Murray’s focus, he highlighted that the group is re-engineering its agent service offering “so that we continue to grow and increase our market share by attracting new agents into our business”.

Mr Murray’s new role, a re-engineering of the group’s agent service offering, and new technology and coaching makes it “an exciting time for real estate professionals”, according to Mr Law.
