The LJ Hooker Group has welcomed a leader in the franchising marketing space to the team.

Stephan Gervois has aligned with the group as the general manager of marketing across its house of brands, and brings with him more than 15 years of experience in marketing and supporting strategic growth of franchises.

LJ Hooker Group said he will be “critical” in driving lead generation strategies across the network of offices, as well as for brand development in both Australia and New Zealand.

Group CEO Christine Mikhael expressed: “I’m excited to have someone of Stephan’s calibre and expertise to lead marketing across the LJ Hooker Group, which includes our super brand LJ Hooker, and our boutique franchise brands Atlas by LJ Hooker and Harveys.”

Aside from his time at market-leading broking outfit Mortgage Choice, Mr Gervois also brings global experience from a number of globally known brands.

“Stephan’s versatility, innovation and data-driven approach have resulted in him successfully leading high-performing franchise teams across Australia and New Zealand, and transforming business performance throughout his career working with global brands such as Coca-Cola and Vodafone,” Ms Mikhael said.

“His previous experience working with category-leading brands like the franchise Mortgage Choice has given him the expertise and insight needed to understand the needs of franchising and what tangibly contributes to their success,” she continued.

With Ms Mikhael also expressing her confidence at Mr Gervois’ “creative thinking and strategic insight”, the group lauds the work done by the new general manager of marketing during his time at the broking giant to reshape the customer experience and digitalise processes across 500 franchise businesses, reporting that he “played a crucial role in the business transformation following the realestate.com.au acquisition”.

According to Ms Mikhael, he was also “instrumental in driving the brand’s growth of 25 per cent in just 12 months. Moreover, his expertise in developing marketing and business strategies resulted in an impressive 98 per cent increase in national leads”.

As to how he will impact the Australian and New Zealand real estate giant, the new general manager of marketing and his team will be focusing on driving all aspects of lead generation in a challenging and competitive market, he shared, commenting that he is “looking forward to thinking outside the box and enhancing our marketing initiatives to ensure our house of brands, and offices, stay top of mind and actively engage with customers”.

He is being supported in his goals by a team of marketing specialists across brand, performance marketing and social media.

From his perspective: “It’s a clear point of difference for the LJ Hooker Group in having a multibrand business model so they can better serve their real estate agents, and ultimately, their markets.”

Mr Gervois’ appointment comes as LJ Hooker is “laser-focused on ensuring we continue to deliver value and do more for all our networks at every stage. This means investing in the right talent and executing strategies that will support growth across all markets and through all market conditions,” Ms Mikhael continued.

“Stephan’s appointment reflects the strategic importance and growth potential of our offerings to our network of offices and consumers, she concluded.
