View Media Group is expanding its footprint in Melbourne’s development sector with the appointment of Jess Hay as the Melbourne managing director of its property creative arm, The Property Agency (TPA).

The move signals a renewed focus on growth in Victoria’s competitive off-the-plan marketing space, with Hay bringing extensive experience in brand strategy and placemaking across residential, commercial, and hotel projects.

Hay joins TPA from design studio Studio Ongarato, where she led a diverse property portfolio. Her career spans media, full-service agency roles and design consultancy, giving her what TPA founder Bob St Julian described as a “rare skill set”.

“Jess’ career journey from media, to full-service, to design specialist creates a rare skill set which will be harnessed by VMG working closely with Today Media,” St Julian said.

TPA, which sits under the VMG umbrella, focuses on strategy, branding and advertising campaigns for off-the-plan developments. The group is positioning itself as an end-to-end provider for developers, offering creative and media solutions, as well as lead generation. VMG also provides SaaS tools for sales administration and display suite technology.

“Our aim is to help developers get these buildings out of the ground quicker,” St Julian said.

Hay said she is excited to be joining the business at a time of opportunity and momentum.

“VMG is at an exciting growth phase so it’s the perfect time to be joining,” Hay said. “I simply love the property industry and have shown that my experience outside the category helps form well-rounded insights and deep knowledge of consumer behaviour that helps deliver real results.”

She added that she is focused on delivering performance-led outcomes through a holistic creative approach.

The appointment comes as competition intensifies in Melbourne’s property marketing sector, with developers seeking integrated creative and media solutions amid a changing project sales landscape.
