A Queensland agency has lifted the lid on how it rapidly expanded its property management business and more than tripled its staff to accommodate the growth in just 18 months.
RE/MAX Revolution, based in Shailer Park, Logan, reported it has seen almost a 500 per cent increase in its rent roll over the past three years.
Over a year ago, with such exponential growth on the cards, it became clear to the management team that they needed to staff up. While their property management division consisted of two personnel 18 months ago, they now have nine talented individuals on board dedicated to rental services.
According to the office’s owners, sisters Eiles Hunt and Brittany Hunt, it’s their service-driven outlook that has allowed the business to grow organically – albeit at a rapid pace.
“The majority of our rent roll expansion has been naturally driven, reflecting our unwavering commitment to prioritising our clients' interests and our deep understanding of the local property and housing market” Eiles Hunt said.
“The rent rolls we've acquired were chosen with great care to ensure they align with the high standards of our services, while also nurturing relationships based on mutual trust, honesty, and respect with landlords.” she added.
The duo credit the team’s service-first outlook as the reason it was awarded the network’s number one property management team in 2023.
“We hold this title with great pride, and we are also home to the number one business development manager, Stephanie Lelliott,” Eiles Hunt said.
She was quick to praise valuable staff who assisted in growing the property management side of the business, without whom they could not have achieved such success.
“Around two years ago, we welcomed Donna Starkins as the head of property management, and she has helped our team grow to nine within just 18 months,” she noted.
With a rent roll of 749 at present, the property management team’s goal is to reach 1,000 properties under management through organic growth.
“As a service-driven agency, we plan to expand our property management team before we reach that significant milestone.” Eiles Hunt noted.
To keep their standard of service high, the business owners say that retention is key. They prioritise investment in coaching and ensuring that each team member feels supported as the agency’s operations grow.
“Since the inception of RE/MAX Revolution five years ago, we've remained dedicated to business growth and expanding our rent roll, all while focusing equally on the personal development of each team member and delivering outstanding service to our valued clients” Eiles Hunt remarked.
