Two long-serving members of the Laing+Simmons Armidale sales team have taken an ownership stake in the business, joining principals Lachie and Cara Sewell.

Frazer Yule and Daniel Clyde-Smith have taken a co-ownership stake in Laing+Simmons Armidale, following a period of strong growth for the regional NSW office.

In June alone, the team achieved a 50 per cent share of listings in the Armidale market and sold 17 homes.

This September marks Clyde-Smith’s five-year milestone with the team.

“I’ve loved buying and selling from a young age. From chook sales to clearing sales and auctions, I love the process and was always drawn to real estate as a career,” he said.

“I’m grateful to Lachie and Cara for giving me the opportunity and now, having taken this next step, I’m focused on continuing to contribute to growing the business and working with our fantastic team, while supporting our community.”

Yule explained that working in estate sales was a natural fit following a career ion customer service and retail management.

“Whether it’s helping someone purchase their first home or working with a family to move to a home which will enable them to grow, it’s a job in which you can add real value to the community, which is really satisfying," he said.

"My first experience in real estate was with Lachie and the Laing+Simmons Armidale team and I’ve now been part of the team for four years. To make this new commitment as an owner is a major step and an opportunity I’m grateful for.”

Lachie Sewell credited the achievement to the dedication of the sales team and said the ownership change positions the business for further expansion.

“It’s through the hard work of the team that we’ve managed to carve out a dominant share of our local market, and with Frazer and Daniel’s new commitment to Laing+Simmons Armidale, we’ll be doubling down on our customer focus as we look to continue our growth,” he said.

“It also means working with buyers not just from the local area but from across New South Wales and even interstate, leveraging the extensive networks of our team, many of whom have experience in diverse markets.

“Both Frazer and Daniel have been with the team for a number of years and from day one, both have demonstrated the customer-first approach we pride ourselves on.

“More than ever, in a competitive environment, agents need to deliver the best possible customer experience and focus on the people aspects of the property transaction.”
