The listing giant has signed a multi-year sponsorship with Tennis Australia as the real estate partner of the Australian Open.

realestate.com.au hopes that the partnership will help expand their audience outside of the typical buying season, having had 13.2 million Australians visit the listing portal in November.

The partnership will include virtual court signage in Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, and John Cain Arena, in addition to an on-site activation at The Village.

They will also invite fans to participate in a realestate.com.au rally to win prizes and play alongside legends of the sport.

“We’re incredibly excited to be the Official Real Estate Partner of the Australian Open, an iconic event that captures the nation’s attention and provides an unparalleled platform to connect realestate.com.au with millions of Australian tennis fans,” Sarah Myers, REA Group general manager, audience and marketing, said.

“Over the summer months Australians are at home thinking about upgrading, downsizing or making a sea or tree change. Showing up at the Australian Open in a truly integrated way in such a premium environment is an exciting opportunity.

“We know the national conversation anchors to property and sport so it was the perfect fit to bring our two brands together.”

The listing giant's campaign will also include two television commercials, featuring Pat Rafter engaging with fans in the crowd, in addition to outdoor creatives across Melbourne.

Tennis Australia chief commercial officer Cedric Cornelis said that the creativity aligned with the liveliness of the Australian Open.

“We’re excited to welcome REA to the Australian Open. The Australian Open is all about bringing people together, and realestate.com.au is a brand Australians know and trust,” he said.

“This partnership is designed with fans in mind, from fun moments around the precinct to creative storytelling on broadcast, bringing another fun, feel-good element to the Australian Open experience for all fans all summer long.”
