McGees Property has confirmed that valuations and advisory veteran Tom Rowe has transitioned into an agency role, as the firm’s sales and leasing division continues to evolve.
Rowe became a partner at the national commercial, retail, industrial, and residential real estate network in 2021, after joining the business in 2011 and building extensive experience across commercial valuation, advisory, and consulting.
He is a current fellow of the Australian Property Institute and served as chair of the institute’s state committee from 2021 to 2025.
Rowe said his background would allow him to add value for investor clients in the agency space.
“I saw an opportunity in the commercial real estate agency space where I think I can add value,” Rowe said.
“I have a consultancy background and can provide evidence-based advice and a more strategic application to the markets I’m operating in.”
“There’s an opportunity in the market there.”
Rowe said he would remain client-focused while transitioning into the new role.
“I’ll always be client-focused. I’ll always look after my existing clients and look forward to working with new clients in a different role,” he added.
McGees Property, founded in 1984, operates nationally with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Darwin, delivering services across commercial, retail, industrial and residential property.
Simon Lambert, managing partner at McGees, welcomed the move.
“Tom has shown a remarkable commitment to the property industry and has earned huge respect from his peers. He has great expertise, and his experience provides a fantastic springboard into the Agency space.
“The next generation of McGees Property’s sales and leasing division is taking shape. We had the ideal candidate to take us further with us already, and we couldn’t be happier that Tom will be making his career move to Agency while staying at McGees.
“This appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to our people, their careers, and their development.”
It comes just months after McGees Property confirmed that it had launched its new Advisory division to strengthen its strategic real estate services.
The network confirmed that the division would be led by Rachel Elliott, who brings over 30 years of experience in the South Australian (SA) market, including roles as director at M3 Property and chief valuer at Land Services SA.
Elliott also serves on multiple industry boards, including Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) SA and Believe Housing Australia.
Managing partner Simon Lambert said her expertise would enhance both the firm’s advisory capabilities and client outcomes.
