Thanks to our devices being stocked with an accelerometer — a nifty electro-mechanical tool that registers movement — your phone can now interactively respond with a holistic image, one tech expert has said, and provide 360° content on tap — just a single finger tap away.
Business development manager at PHORIA Wade Angelo says that the tech is not super-complicated.
“360° content is similar to a typical photo or video, but imagine your photographer or videographer has captured the moment from all views,” the BDM explains.
“They’ve then stitched together all the content to create a single unified view — think panoramic-style photos but in all directions.”
Mr Angelo says that the panoramic tech is opening up myriad new opportunities to be creative in your marketing ideas.
“With 360° content, we’re no longer at the mercy of what’s been captured through the lens,” he says.
“Instead, you’re now an active participant of what’s fed back as your device registers your physical position and responds with an aligned view.”
Mr Angelo says that this new tech development is on the move, rapidly gaining in popularity.
“That this 360-degree content is arguably the most accessible example of immersive content available, and it also rapidly increased in uptake.
“Case and point is the abundance of 360° photos now making an appearance on your Facebook feed.”
