The REB Innovation Summit returns for its second edition in 2026, shifting decisively from theory to execution as AI moves from experimentation to an operational necessity across the real estate sector.

In a market where the race to win listings, elevate client experiences, and scale agencies without inflating overheads is intensifying, the summit is designed for one purpose: helping agents turn artificial intelligence (AI) ambition into measurable business outcomes.

Hosted by Real Estate Business (REB) in partnership with principal partner Commonwealth Bank, this year’s event cuts straight to what works right now.

The 2026 summit will be held in Sydney on Thursday, 25 June at Telstra CIC, followed by Melbourne on Thursday, 2 July at Fed Square, bringing together agency leaders, operators, and innovators for one defining day of applied insight.

This year, the event skips introductory sessions, with the agenda instead built around three core pillars: AI capability, discovery in an AI-first search world, and operational transformation.

The event reflects the next phase of industry change, where execution separates leaders from laggards.

“The focus this year is on doing, not learning about doing,” said REB managing editor Liam Garman.

“Agents don’t need more hype. They need systems, frameworks and real examples they can implement the next morning.”

In a single day, leading voices from technology, marketing, and operations will unpack how agencies can embed AI into their workflows, remain visible in a changing search landscape, and scale service delivery without losing the human relationships that underpin real estate.

Key sessions include:

  • Pete Williams, Deloitte Australia – Moving beyond basic chatbots to building real organisational AI capability, including how leading teams are overcoming execution paralysis through structured peer learning and repeatable operating loops.
  • Russell Easther, Digital Brief – How Google’s AI Overviews are reshaping consumer decision-making before the first click – and what agencies must do to stay discoverable when search becomes AI-mediated.
  • Seth Watts, Prepared – Where automation can meaningfully remove back-office friction, and where human interaction must remain central to protect trust, conversion and client experience.

Rather than broad trend discussions, each keynote is designed to deliver practical frameworks, with a focus on implementation pathways that agents can deploy immediately within their businesses.

Supported by Commonwealth Bank as principal partner, alongside National Australia Bank (NAB), Super Mover, Forms Live, and Properti.ai, the event reflects a growing industry shift toward embedded AI systems, operational efficiency and search-led discovery.

As the industry enters a new phase of AI execution, the REB Innovation Summit 2026 positions itself as a practical blueprint for agents determined to stay ahead of rapid structural change – not observe it from behind.
