The Gold Coast real estate market will play a starring role in a new digital series helmed by none other than lifestyle presenter Melanie Symons.
LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast is producing the show, which looks to help buyers, sellers, property investors and tenants on their real estate journey.
Aptly named “LJ Hooker Solutions GC TV”, Ms Symons will host the online series that’s set to screen across social platforms, YouTube and LJ Hooker websites.
It’s a passion project of sorts for Ms Symons, who has said it allows her to tap into her love of both real estate — and the Gold Coast.
“For more than 25 years, I’ve been presenting lifestyle shows, but it’s the first time I’ve been asked to really dive-deep into what I love, which is real estate and the communities in which we live, work and play,” she commented.
As well as credits on Totally Wild and Saturday Disney, Ms Symons has hosted a number of lifestyle shows, with Ground Force and Australia’s Best Backyards among them.
She’s also more recently hosted Sydney Weekender, Creek to Coast, and Weekender TV.
For this series, Ms Symons said: “I’ll be sharing tips for buying and selling, interviewing experts on the state of the market and people on their real estate journey and, for a series titled My Neighbourhood, local personalities and business owners, to unearth the hidden gems of the Gold Coast and the untold stories behind them.”
LJ Hooker has noted the new series as the first targeted consumer campaign of the newly formed LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast, which comprises offices at Nerang, Pacific Pines, Helensvale, Hope Island, Coomera and Ormeau.
“We wanted a way to deliver valuable advice on all things real estate and to connect with the communities that make up the Gold Coast,” said LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast director Shane Colquhoun.
Explaining that the team wanted to offer more than just stereotypically styled real estate videos, he said: “From there, the idea quickly evolved to an online series where we could deliver our content to social platforms which is where our consumers spend hours researching their real estate journey.
“We were honoured that a TV personality of Mel’s calibre came on board as a brand ambassador and presenter for LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast.
“Like us, Mel has a passion for real estate and the Gold Coast. She was the first choice for the role and a perfect fit culturally for our network and clients.”
Acknowledging the Gold Coast market as surging, the director said the business is currently seeing record enquiry from people in Sydney and Melbourne who have decided now is the time to make a lifestyle change.
“The series is a way of showing them, and the local community, what the Gold Coast is made of and guide them through the real estate process,” Mr Colquhoun concluded.
