Savills plc has announced the appointment a new group chief financial officer (CFO) and executive director.

Savills plc has announced Nick Sanderson as its new group chief financial officer (CFO) and executive director.

Sanderson, a charted accountant, will take on the role of CFO from Simon Shaw, who will become group chief executive officer from 1 January 2026.

Currently the chief financial and operating officer for Great Portland Estates plc, Sanderson was previously the company’s chief financial officer from July 2011.

Prior to this role, Sanderson was a partner and head of real estate corporate finance advisory at Deloitte.

He previously had 10 years of real estate investment banking experience, including as a managing director at Nomura.

In 1998, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen.

Further, Susie Bell will also be joining the group in the role of investor relations director in October.

She comes from UK home builder Vistry Group plc, where she was the group investor relations director.

Prior to this role, she held investor relations positions at Barratt Developments and EMI Group.

Shaw said he looks forward to welcoming both Sanderson and Bell to the team.

“Nick has an impressive and extensive track record in both the public and private real estate sector and will be a great partner for me and the broader management team as we drive the next stage of the group’s development,” he concluded.
