A commercial real estate firm has appointed two senior leaders with more than 40 years of combined experience, reinforcing leadership while prioritising client continuity.

Cushman & Wakefield has announced the appointment of Ben Ward as the network's new managing director, Victoria, as well as Josh McNamara as head of tenant advisory group, Australia and New Zealand.

The two new leaders bring over more than four decades of industry experience to the firm.

Cushman & Wakefield said that in addition to his new role as managing director, Ben Ward would continue to serve as the state’s head of office leasing.

The network said that Ward would continue to maintain a hands-on focus on office leasing, while also leading the Victorian business through its next growth phase.

Noral Wild, Cushman & Wakefield chief executive officer (CEO) – Australia, New Zealand, and North Asia, said the appointment of Ward reflected the depth of talent within the network.

“His appointment as managing director, Victoria, while continuing to lead our office leasing business, ensures we remain closely connected to the market while positioning the Victorian business for its next stage of growth.”

Similarly, Wild said that McNamara’s appointment would allow the network to tap into his two decades of client relationships, drawing on his experience and his ability to balance local expertise with client needs.

“Just as importantly, this transition ensures continuity for our clients.”

McNamara will assume the role vacated by Michael Kearins, who will shift to a different role in the tenant advisory group, and said he would look to build on the department's existing culture.

“I’m grateful for the strong foundations he has developed and look forward to working closely with him as we continue to support our clients and take the TAG platform into its next phase of growth,” McNamara concluded.
