Shannon Vos becomes the second individual to partner with the national brand.

Mr Vos, along with his brother Simon, won the 2014 edition of the hit reality TV show, The Block Glasshouse. Through the course of the show, the pair won three weekly room reveals on the road to achieving a sales price of $1.9 million, $335,000 above reserve — earning them $435,000 in total winnings.

The father of two, who takes a realistic approach to renovations and home improvements, will primarily focus on creating exclusive content across LJ Hooker’s social media and digital channel with a primary focus on showing the audience strategies that add value and style to their homes.

“Our homes are often our greatest asset, so anything that can add value to that is a step in the right direction,” he proclaimed.

He expressed his excitement to partner with “an Australian icon” to create a space that will also promote wellness and mindfulness.

“I’ve always been a fan of the LJ Hooker brand,” he expressed. “I can remember the ‘thank you Mr Hooker’ ads from the 90s and the way the family unit was always a major theme for the brand.

“I treasure my family like nothing else, and it’s this ethos, as well as our passion for home improvement and renovation, that’s inevitably brought us together.”

Mr Vos, who already has an extensive social media following across both Instagram and Facebook, runs his own design studio — Vos Creative — having studied and gained a distinction in interior design prior to his adventure on The Block.

Mr Vos professed that he loves “renovating, humour and creating something unexpected — I sometimes get injured along the way, so we’re in for some fun with LJ Hooker”.

LJ Hooker’s head of marketing James Boulton has welcomed the agency’s latest ambassador.

“Shannon has a fantastic knowledge about what is on-trend for interiors — he has a very relatable approach to home improvements which our consumers will find both informative and inspiring,” Mr Boulton said.

He affirmed that LJ Hooker’s ambassador strategy is proving successful across all social and digital channels, adding that the brand looks to create spaces “that bring everyone together”.

“We may be heading towards our centenary, but the network is always at the forefront of how to connect and build relationships meaningfully with its consumers no matter where they are in their real estate cycle,” Mr Boulton said.

Mr Vos joins Geneva Vanderzeil in partnering with the brand in an ambassador role.

REB reported on the social media influencer and DIY enthusiast’s alignment with the brand in November 2021.
