The network is entering an innovative chapter of growth, sharing its flagship Bulimba business would now encompass four locations.

Place Estate Agents’ managing director, Paul Curtain, revealed The One Group will see “one team in four locations” covering Bulimba, Camp Hill (formerly the company’s Coorparoo office), Cannon Hill, and Carindale, and will also incorporate the brand’s projects and property management teams.

Mr Curtain, who is also the managing principal of The One Group, will be partnered by co-principal, Sam Kelso, in the projects leadership group.

He noted that the venture “complements the Place Estate Agents brand,” adding it will “open incredible career pathways for those wanting a meaningful and successful career in real estate.”

“It will also allow our current team to provide even better service to our valued clients,” he said.

Mr Curtain — who founded Place Bulimba alongside Damian and Sarah Hackett 21 years ago — said he will leverage the experience of forming that office, which was Place’s first, and the “30-plus years of skills, intellectual property, and partnerships to implement a vision that can see a doubling of the business performance within the next five years.”

He noted the expansion offers “high-performing agents, business development managers (BDMs), and property managers to enter leadership and partnership roles within the business,” a factor he defined as helping close the gap.

Providing the example of a salesperson outgrowing an office, he explained the new model provides “salespeople and BDMs an opportunity to become involved as a director or partner within the business.”

“Further to the directors and partners, we have The One Group’s performance leadership team, which boasts nine market-leading professionals across sales, property management, and administration, driving culture, performance, and consistency across the multi-office platform,” he concluded.

Embodying this attitude, the group has revealed that Meagan Muir, Darcy Lord and Carla Haddan would be joining current shareholders Paula Pearce, Shane Hicks, Lisa Perruzza, Cathy Richards and Joanna Gianniotis.

Establishing The One Group is the latest business move undertaken by Place this year, after it was revealed that an established Brisbane West independent agency would be entering the brand’s umbrella back at the end of March.
