A pair of experienced operators are welcomed back into the network’s fold following a brief separation.

Bill and Deanna Dontsios, a passionate husband and wife team, will head up Barry Plant Epping, playing vital leadership roles as the office kicks off a new era.

With a stint leading Barry Plant Coburg, Mr Dontsios is familiar with the Barry Plant brand, and following a break from the industry and a short stint operating an independent agency, the familiarity offered by the network proved a major drawing card for him and his wife.

“We wanted to be part of a group that was a known brand in the marketplace,” Mr Dontsios explained, adding “our belief systems aligned”.

He revealed the attraction to return to real estate, and to take charge of the North Melbourne outfit, was born from a “passion for helping people with their biggest investments, and a commitment to inject integrity into the market”.

“For us, it’s not about counting the number of houses we sell, but about the positive impact we can make on our community, particularly to those in need,” he added.

This community-centric approach, which has seen the pair heavily involved in local events throughout their lives, Mr Dontsios shared the duo’s intention to “celebrate success with our communities, and that means everyone thrives”.

In the eyes of Barry Plant’s head of franchise development Mark Lynch, Mr and Mrs Dontsios’ fit within the network, and its wider ambitions, is glove-like.

“We’ve only ever partnered with people who we believe share the same values we do – that’s the reason the network enjoys such an incredibly tight-knit culture,” he said.

“2023 has been a year of transformation for us and the reinvention of our Epping business is an exciting part of that evolution,” Mr Lynch explained.

Over the course of the year to date, the network has overhauled its branding, expanded its presence in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, strengthened its position in north-east Melbourne, and surfed the rising technological wave with the appointment of a chief technology officer.

Piercing the sea of change is a return to familiar pastures for Mr and Mrs Dontsios, with Mr Lynch concluding: “We are thrilled to welcome Bill and Deanna back home to Barry Plant.”
