A national brand’s latest Ballarat opening gives it a foothold in one of regional Victoria’s fastest-growing markets.

Stone Real Estate has opened a new office in Ballarat, in a bid to enhance its services in this bustling regional centre.

The commercial capital of Victoria’s Central Highlands, Ballarat is Victoria’s third-largest city and is well-known for its history and heritage.

Stu Brien, a long-time resident of the Ballarat area, will be at the forefront of the new Stone Ballarat/Buninyong office. With two decades of business experience and community service under his belt, Mr Brien has been in the real estate sector since 2014.

Fiona Hart, also a long-time Ballarat local, will also lend her experience to the Stone Ballarat/Buninyong team in the role of sales associate.

Luke Cameron, Stone Real Estate’s head of franchise, reported that he was confident that Mr Brien would be a good fit for the new principal position. He stated: “We are fully behind Stu as he takes the lead at our Ballarat/Buninyong office.”

“His impressive background and local connections present the perfect opportunity for Stone to drive growth in Victoria.”

Stone Real Estate’s chief performance officer, Graeme Hyde, agreed with this sentiment, stressing that “leadership is crucial as we open the Ballarat/Buninyong office”.

“[Mr Brien’s] combination of local insight and business savvy is set to leave a significant mark on the region,” said Mr Hyde. “We anticipate great success for Stone under his stewardship.”

Stone Real Estate described its Ballarat opening as “a key step in Stone’s ongoing mission to deepen its relationships with Victorian communities”.

In its earlier days, Stone had largely focused its efforts on NSW and Queensland, but in 2021 the network began expanding further south with the aim of becoming a well-known brand in Victoria within the next two to three years.

This year saw Stone open new offices in Coffs Harbour, northern Sydney, the NSW Central Coast and Moreton Bay, although October did see the close of the brand’s Mornington Peninsula outfit.
