The top 50 agents in NSW increased the number and value of properties sold in 2025, according to new data.

Real Estate Business (REB) has released the Top 50 Agents NSW 2025 ranking and report for the fifth consecutive year. The ranking is produced jointly with parent company Momentum Media and is powered by research arm Agile Market Intelligence.

Run in support with sponsor Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), the annual state-based ranking rewards agents who have achieved exceptional sales numbers during the 2024 calendar year while building a strong presence in their local area.

It also draws attention to listed agents who have set high professional performance standards in Australia and sets the benchmark for excellence that other agents can aspire to emulate.

This year’s ranking has demonstrated the talent of NSW agents who secured high sales numbers despite operating in a challenging market. This challenge was particularly evident in Sydney, where housing affordability issues continue to be a major concern, leading to dampening buyer demand.

Research from Cotality (CoreLogic) in May 2025 showed that the pace of Sydney’s property market slowed significantly towards the end of 2024 due to affordability concerns.

However, agents’ hard work has paid off with the ranking data revealing that agents sold 5,790 properties for $14.9 billion in 2025, up from 5,447 properties sold for $12.9 billion in 2024.

Similarly, the top 10 agents also experienced growth in the number and value of properties sold, with 1,447 properties for $5.2 billion in 2025, up from 1,402 properties sold for $4.7 billion the previous year.

The average number of properties sold also increased year-on-year across the top 50 agents from 109 for $258.8 million in 2024 to 116 properties sold for $299.5 million in 2025.

Analysis of the top 10 agents revealed a similar trend, as they sold an average of 145 properties for $520.7 million, up from an average of 140 properties for $475.9 million in 2024.

The average sales price mirrored overall property price rises, increasing from $2.65 million in 2024 to $2.89 million in 2025 across the top 50 agents. The price across the top 10 agents increased by 7.3 per cent year-on-year to $3.6 million in 2025.

Days on market remained steady at 34 days across the top 50 agents, while the top 10 recorded a slight improvement, taking one less day to sell a property at 27, down from 28 the previous year.

Alexander Phillips, partner at PPD Real Estate, retained his number one position for the fifth consecutive year in the NSW ranking, a position he has held since its inception.

Michael Clarke, co-founder and director of Clarke & Humel Property, secured second place, which he has also held for the fifth year running.

Maclay Longhurst, sales associate at Sydney Sotheby’s International Realty, retained third place in this year’s ranking.

Jesse Weinberg, executive manager - head of propositions business banking at CBA, said: “CommBank is delighted to sponsor the Real Estate Business Top 100 Agents ranking and Top 50 Agents per state ranking, recognising outstanding achievements across the real estate industry. The real estate industry plays a vital role in the Australian economy and shares CommBank’s commitment to building a brighter future for all by supporting our customers in achieving their personal and business goals. Liam Garman, managing editor of real estate at Momentum Media, said: “NSW’s top agents have once again proven their strength, navigating a complex market shaped by affordability concerns and shifting buyer behaviour. This year’s ranking highlights those who have not only maintained high-performance standards but elevated them – achieving growth in both volume and value of sales.”

The REB Top 50 Agents NSW 2025 celebrates the elite professionals driving the state’s real estate success forward.
