Knight Frank has named its new managing director of NSW to lead the business and deliver on its goals ahead of an expected strengthening of market activity.

Knight Frank has appointed Jeremy Prestoe as its new managing director of NSW, with Annabelle Green also stepping into the role of head of asset management services (AMS).

Prestoe was promoted to his new position after serving as head of AMS in NSW since joining Knight Frank four years ago.

He brings almost 30 years of experience in the commercial property industry after previously working at JLL, Just Projects Group, and Lendlease.

In his new managing director position, Prestoe will split his time across the business’s Sydney CBD, North Sydney and Parramatta offices.

He said he was excited to work closely with Knight Frank’s clients and the service line teams to deliver on its ambitious targets.

“It’s a terrific time to slot into this chair as all indicators suggest that the market is recovering in many aspects, and we expect activity to strengthen over the coming year,” he said.

Similarly, Green also has around 30 years’ property experience, including her former role of head of asset management for Region Group.

Previously, she worked at AMP Capital and held positions at GPT Group, Lendlease, and Westfield.

Green said she is looking forward to filling the position after having worked with Knight Frank first as a client and then on a consulting basis for more than four years.

“During that time I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the professionalism and culture of the organisation, so I’m thrilled to be able to join the business on a permanent basis,” she said.

“I look forward to solidifying and building on the successes of our NSW AMS team to date and continuing to provide the best service for our clients.”

Knight Frank’s chief executive officer, James Patterson, said Prestoe was well-poised to lead the firm’s NSW business, given he was well-liked and had the necessary experience and expertise.

“Since Jeremy joined Knight Frank almost four years, he has worked tirelessly to successfully transform the culture and financial performance of our AMS NSW business,” he said.

“This has been done via a restructuring of the business, as well as developing our people to elevate our performance and improve our client experience.

“Jeremy has significantly contributed to many successful bids for our AMS team, including DWS (National), PAG, Peakstone and Sim Lian – Metro Capital (National), and his extensive connections have helped make our brand more visible.”

Patterson also commended Green for her successes in helping the firm grow its market share and winning major institutional bids.

“Annabelle brings deep institutional expertise from her previous roles, and will build on our successes in AMS in recent years,” he concluded.
