2-decade tenure ends as BigginScott appoints new CEO

By Gemma Crotty 08 October 2025 | 4 minute read

A Victorian real estate network has announced its new chief executive officer to succeed its two-decade-long-serving leader.

BigginScott has announced that general manager, Ray van Veenendaal, will be the new chief executive officer, succeeding Paul Stoner, who has stayed at the helm for 19 years.

BigginScott said van Veenendaal’s capabilities, including strategic vision, operational discipline, and commercial insight, will be an asset for the network.

“His focus on growth, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement has consistently delivered measurable success,” it said.

Before joining the network, van Veenendaal held leadership positions across real estate, technology, and corporate business operations.

Van Veenendaal said he intended to continue the momentum that Stoner and the team have built at the network.

“This is a moment to take everything great about our brand and push even harder on growth, innovation, and delivering outstanding results for our clients and communities,” he said.

BigginScott said that Stoner’s 19-year experience has seen the network grow into a brand based on trust, relationships, and community.

“Leading BigginScott has been one of the greatest privileges of my life,” Stoner said.

“I am deeply proud of what we’ve built together, and I know Ray will carry that momentum forward with the same passion and drive,” he concluded.
