Brisbane real estate network Place has announced the addition of a new agent to an inner-city office, in a bid to strengthen its presence in the city's apartment market.

Sales agent Mary Buchan has joined Place’s Kangaroo Point office, following her departure from Ray White.

Place Kangaroo Point said that Buchan's blend of professionalism and creativity would be part of the office’s strategy in Brisbane’s inner city.

“Her energy and creative instincts are exactly what’s needed as Brisbane’s apartment market matures and buyer expectations rise.”

“Mary represents the new face of real estate; thoughtful, content-driven and client-obsessed.”

Having attended the Queensland Academy for Creative Industries, Buchan will combine her academic insights with two years of real estate experience, adding her creative flair to the network.

Place said that Buchan’s fresh approach to marketing, as well as the ability to build client relationships, would help to support the office's client base.

Buchan said that Place’s unique approach to staff management played a role in her decision to join the network.

“Joining Place Kangaroo point felt like the perfect fit; a team that values presentation, professionalism, creativity and people in equal measure,” Buchan said.

Buchan says that her previous experiences in service industry roles across hospitality, fitness and account management have helped shape her approach to property.

“To me, real estate isn’t just about selling; it's about storytelling.”

“Every home has a feeling, and my job is to translate that into something people can see, hear and connect with,” she concluded.
