A real estate network has opened its second Capricorn Coast office ahead of massive population growth, fuelled by lifestyle migration and Olympics infrastructure investment.
Professionals has announced the opening of its Yeppoon office, with principal Mike Suthers and his team to lead the agency as the region undergoes significant growth.
The network’s CEO Sean Hannebery said Suthers, who came from Harcourts, brought deep local knowledge and a trusted reputation to the role.
“His team’s move to Professionals strengthens our shared commitment to delivering outstanding results for regional clients,” he said.
The company said the office will have 14 staff across sales, property management, and administration, marking a step forward in expanding its presence in Queensland’s fastest-growing regional market.
Professionals said in addition to residential sales and rentals, the Yeppoon agency would play a role in local land developments in a bid to help address housing shortages in the region.
Hannebery said that the addition of Suthers and his team showed the network’s commitment to supporting regional real estate leaders.
“Our network was built on strong community connections, and Mike’s values truly reflect that,” Hannebery said.
Suthers said his decision to join Professionals was due to shared values and its ability to deliver immediate support when needed.
“After many years with my previous brand, it felt like the right time to reassess what kind of support and structure best suited our business,” he said
“With the Professionals’ business transformation last year, the brand is fresh, and the marketing support is next level.”
According to Suthers, Yeppoon and the broader Livingston Shire were forecast to become one of the fastest-growing councils outside of Brisbane over the next 25 years.
The Queensland government’s data showed Yeppoon’s population was expected to increase from 40,000 residents in 2021 to 63,000 by 2046, above the state average.
“Yeppoon is in a significant growth phase, driven by lifestyle migration, limited land supply and major infrastructure investment with the region to host 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games rowing events,” Suthers said.
He said that joining Professionals positioned the team to take full advantage of the opportunities while continuing to serve the local community.
“The new Professionals Yeppoon office is now fully operational, with further team growth planned as housing demand in the region continues to rise,” he concluded.
