Following a decade of hard work, a veteran agent has taken the next step in her career, earning the role of director at a Coronis agency in southern Brisbane.

Coronis has appointed Shona Killalea as director and business partner of its Springwood office after nearly a decade with the network.

According to the company, Killalea had grown with the Springwood team to become a respected agent with a solid reputation across Brisbane’s southern suburbs.

Coronis Group CEO, Karuna Mazzocchi, said Killalea had earned the new opportunity as a result of her high performance and consistently showing up for her clients and team.

“I have no doubt she’s only going to have immense success as an agency director and business partner,” Mazzocchi said.

Mazzocchi also said the move reflected both Killalea’s achievement within the business and Coronis’ commitment to creating pathways for its people to grow.

“As a business, it is our objective to provide opportunity for great people like Shona to grow and succeed,” she said.

Prior to real estate, Killalea worked in recruitment and executive search, giving her an instinct for understanding what drove people and the strategies that got them where they wanted to be.

According to Coronis, Killalea’s accomplishments at the agency came alongside raising three children under six, having returned to listing and selling within days of each birth.

Killalea said she was constantly committed to setting new goals for herself, and having children didn’t impact her motivation.

“If anything, it just gave me more reason to keep going and showing them what’s possible,” she said.

The network said Coronis Springwood had grown steadily since Killalea stepped into the role, in her bid to boost the agency’s presence in the South Brisbane and Logan region.

“My job as a leader is simple. Find out where someone wants to go and figure out how to help them get there,” Killalea concluded.
